The network test provided a glimpse into the several different options here. However, while it seems to be a near perfect middle ground between Bloodborne and Dark Souls , I would like to see better optimization overall. There are a handful of avenues to build a character The uniqueness of each build is reliant on the weapon you choose. This brings me to the second feature I would like to see in Elden Ring : more diverse gameplay styles. As mentioned earlier, Bloodborne allows players to pursue different styles, due to the variety weapons could afford.
Naturally, the Dark Souls series always provides a large selection of weapons for players. Instead, people are often relegated to magic builds, strength builds, and dexterity builds. Optimization could go one of three ways, depending on what armor players would then choose to wear into battle. I also want to potentially be able to trade with enemies and possibly regenerate health through hits through the use of a ring like in Dark Souls III.
Granted, this ring is just an extremely weak version of a combat mechanic in Bloodborne. I want to see stealth be a path that players can utilize through the entire game, rather than potentially sneaking around the open world. I think the tools are already there, given that Elden Ring includes a stealth mechanic and jumping. I just hope that these will be mechanics that can be used consistently, without Elden Ring potentially funneling players down the same avenues Dark Souls already thoroughly explored.
I mentioned in my preview that the announcement trailer evoked the idea that IP would set itself apart from previous FromSoftware games. One of the most integral means of creating a sense of atmosphere for a FromSoftware area or boss arena is the music. I would love to see a more varied score in Elden Ring. Perhaps something that feels wholly unique from previous FromSoftware games. Composer Yuka Kitamura, at the time, revealed the process of creating the score for a game deeply entrenched in Japanese history.
This last thing I would like to see is a hotly contested topic among the broad spectrum of Dark Souls and Bloodborne players. I would like to see a greater range of accessibility features appear in Elden Ring. As someone who has incredibly poor eyesight, I would greatly appreciate a font scaling option.
It would let me properly read item description text. A color blind mode of some kind would be appreciated. While the Souls games do allow for players to level up and overcome challenges through sheer force of will or the help of others in multiplayer, I firmly believe that there should be a difficulty option as well, or at least some kind of scaling available for players.
While the foundation of FromSoftware action games seem tied intrinsically to the ethos of simply getting up and trying again no matter the odds, Elden Ring already has several quality of life features that would be improved upon with greater accessibility features.
These include the wealth of teleportation points, as illustrated by the network test, and the ability to even respawn at specific points just outside of some open world bosses.
These are just a few features that I would like to see in Elden Ring. I think FromSoftware could potentially expand upon their formula to provide a more varied and interesting experience, and that Elden Ring could shape up to be their best title yet. A wide range of positions and skillsets will be available to you. The NBA 75 player cards started being released on November 5, So far, we know of one player revealed from the 60s and the other from the 90s.
By using this format we can guess that the next players revealed in NBA 2K22 will be from the 70s and 80s. Although there are multiple players that were amazing in each one of those decades, two players, in particular, stand out amongst the rest.
Hopefully, it works along the same lines as the Agendas. Each of the player cards will be from the NBA 75 list that can be found here. We also have the lists of new and expiring sales for the day, such as they are.
It was also a little bit easier than many of the other entries in the series, which could be good or bad depending on your tastes. Well, Wayforward is bringing a big free update to the game on November 30th that has something for you regardless of where you fall on its difficulty. There will be four new modes to enjoy. Definitive makes it harder and adds some new dialogue with the Sirens.
Beginner makes it easier for those who just want to have a relaxed time. Full Deck gives you all fifty Monster Cards at the start, while Rule Breaker mode allows you to equip up to fifty Monster Cards at the same time. There are some other improvements in here, but you can discover those yourself when this Spectacular Superstar update arrives on November 30th. It looks lovely and the previous games from Airship Syndicate give me a lot of confidence that it will play well, too.
Build your party, explore the world of Runeterra, and learn some of the stories behind the Champions of League of Legends. This is a pretty fun rhythm game with trippy visuals. Follow the beat to attack enemies, dodge attacks, and use special moves. You get thirty levels to play through, and it gets a bit wild as you get into it. You play as an alchemist, and a rather important one as you are the last in your world. Thus, it falls to you to restore the Evertree to its rightful brilliance.
You plant world seeds in it, then head into those worlds to beautify them. The worlds expand as you do this, giving you more space to make things pretty.
While all this is taking place, a town on the ground under the Evertree slowly grows. You need to help grow that town and manage the people. Grow is a real slow burn but if you enjoy games like Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing , you might want to give it some consideration. Create your colony of survivors with more than buildings, over 80 unique specialists, and plenty of situations where you have to pick between two bad outcomes.
Reviews were a little mixed on this one in its Early Access form on Steam, but it certainly has some ardent fans already. Cute title. This is a minimalistic platformer where you play as a white square that is meant to be a marshmallow.
Today… is not that day, and as such the list is a little meager. The same goes for the outbox, which is mostly filled with the usual suspects. Check those lists anyway, though. Tomorrow is Thursday, which means we will have a big list of games to check out. Possibly a lot of sales. I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday, and as always, thanks for reading! Gaming is as serious for him as it is when it comes to hitting the court.
Inspired by his older brother Davon to jump into the gaming scene from childhood, Booker made his Twitch debut in You can also expect a few surprise guests from the Call of Duty League community, too! Want to get your hands on it? Booker is no stranger to competition, on the court or off. At just 25, this Michigan native has been following in the footsteps of his father and legendary baller Melvin Booker.
Want more than a handful of demon allies? Need to learn more skills? You need Miracles for that. But they can also be rather expensive, costing Glory for the honor of equipping some of them. This part is fairly easy.
These are nests of demons. Literally, as they obscure the map and are gigantic, red, eye-like stalks. Approaching one causes it to summon a horde of aggressive demons. Once you beat that fight, the Abscess is destroyed and you get new Miracles in the process.
You have to earn them. This is done with Glory in the World of Shadows. You can see these little red folks in formerly populated areas. Often, you might hear a chuckle from them.
However, the amount you earn for each will increase as the game goes on. Go into the Apothesis menu. That lets you earn Miracles. These are divided into the Supremacy, Doctrine, Awakening, and Cosmos categories. Supremacy involves skills related to battle. Doctrine Miracles apply to Leyline services. Awakening increases your demon stock, skill slots, and leveling potential. Early on, there are a few priorities to keep in mind. You need to be able to have more demons.
You also need to be able to use more skills. Some of the earliest Miracles you can learn are Divine Garrison ones. Divine Garrison I and II only add one additional slot to your overall roster. In my case, I stopped at Divine Garrison V. That meant I had 14 possible slots for allies. And even then, I usually only had around 12 on hand at any given time. This is also one of the absolute cheapest Miracles you can buy right away.
The first tier is only 10 Glory. Start investing in it. Each one increases the number of skill slots you have available. Demon Proficiency applies to demons, while Divine Proficiency is for the Nahobino. While your instinct might be to improve the Nahobino first, which is absolutely fine, I found Demon Proficiency more helpful. The demon version is always more expensive, right from the start. Meanwhile, the Demon Proficiency first tier is 50 Glory.
There are some critical abilities there. The most important Doctrine Miracle, bar none, is Divine Amalgamation.
