Microsoft outlook profiles 2003

In other respects, the Win 7 client appears to be properly connected to the domain. In general, I've found it challenging to add Windows 7 clients to the domain. I can't see why that would affect Exchange, but then none of this is making sense. This is a breeze with XP Pro clients. A Google search turned up one suggested fix: To delete the file mapisvc.

I am very hesitant to delete any files having just gone through a reformat-reinstall. I managed to get it working. I then tried to push out Outlook from ConnectComputer.

Got a message that the computer was already on the domain, but with an option to run the setup again in case it had not been configured correctly. After selecting that option, I got a message that the computer was already connected to the domain.

Outlook didn't install, so I went to the Client Apps folder on the server and installed from there. I was then able to add new profiles and accompanying email accounts when launching Outlook. I'm not sure if the initial connection to the domain was faulty or it was reinstalling Outlook that did the trick, but it's working now.

I'm not crazy about the idea of deleting files unless you see something in a KB or other bulletproof source advising that. I'm running the configuration you describe on this PC and a number of others in the office - Win7, Outlook , SBS Premium, and have not had to do anything unusual to get it to work properly. When you say you've tried three user accounts, did you do that in three separate user profiles on the PC, or all in the same one.

In other words, do you log in as the primary user and try to connect to three separate mailboxes, or are you logging in as the three separate users and they trying to connect each one to his own mailbox? If the former, I would try the latter - log into a brand new user profile on the PC in question, and see if you can add the profile using the steps in the KB you referenced.

I had one instance where I could not get an Outlook profile working properly and had to delete and recreate the user profile on the PC - just was never able to diagnose the problem and finally gave up. One more thing you could try - on the first page of the wizard, clear the "cached exchange mode" check box. I don't have any real reason for suggesting this, other than that I've had a number of issues over the years with cached mode and Outlook I agree about deleting files, and this was just a blog, not a TechNet discussion, or a KB.

Regarding the accounts I used: A user with workstation admin credentials logged in and opened Outlook. That's when we first saw the Configuration Wizard launch and got the error about not being able to open the default e-mail folders. Expand your skills. Get new features first. Hi, I have two for me strange issues. How can I make sure the original profile is working?

How can I avoid backup profiles to be created? I sincerely hope for your help. Thursday, September 20, PM.
